One of the top juniors in the Nation and a top junior from Pennsylvania have given early verbal commitments to NCAA Division I programs.

2014 Cadet World Silver Medalist and 2x PIAA State Runner-up Jordan Wood (Boyetown Area) will be heading to Lehigh University. The news came by FloWrestling’s Christian “CP” Pyles. Wood projects to compete at 285 lbs. for the Mountain Hawks and will be in search of his first PIAA State Championship in 2015 after falling in the finals the last two seasons. Wood, who won the 2013 Super 32 Championship, will go for his second title next month.

Another junior with PIAA hardware, Kaleb Young (Punxsutawney Area), committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes and legendary head coach Tom Brands. Young enters his junior year with an impressive (60-6) career record after finishing in fifth place at the 2014 PIAA Class AAA State Championships in a loaded 138 lbs. weight-class.
