State Champ Jordan Wood Takes Fifth in Turkey

2015 PIAA State Champion Jordan Wood is no stranger to International Freestyle events. The Boyertown Area junior was a 2014 UWW Cadet World Runner-up a year ago. Jordan spent his Memorial Day weekend in Antayla, Turkey competing at 96 kg/211.5 lbs. in the prestigious Mithat Bayrak and Ismet Atli Junior International Tournament.

Wood, the #2 ranked Pennsylvania recruit from the class of 2016, went 2-2 for the Tournament earning a fifth place finish. In the bronze medal match Wood was defeated after cautioning out against Ismail Cozaki of Tukey with the score tied (3-3).

The Lehigh recruit will be competing at the Junior Nationals in Fargo, ND in July 2015.
