Billy Barnes Commits to Bloomsburg

Billy Barnes will be spending his senior season at Southern Columbia Area after spending three seasons at Williamson High School. Barnes was a 2014 PIAA Class AA State Runner-up at 145 lbs. finishing his junior season with a (42-1) record. Barnes will be in search of his third career PIAA State Medal in 2015. The senior recently made a commitment to continue his education and wrestling career at Bloomsburg University. Barnes predicts to compete at 157 lbs. in college.

Fellow 2014 PIAA Class AA Runner-up Kyle Shoop (Boiling Springs) also made his college decision. The 132 lbs. runner-up finished his junior season with a (39-9) record earning his second career PIAA State Medal. Shoop improved on his State third place finish in 2013 and will be in search of his first PIAA State Championship in 2015. The Boiling Springs senior gave a commitment to Lock Haven where he predicts to compete at 141/149 lbs.

Other commitments from some of Pennsylvania wrestlers include PIAA State Medalist Bo Spiller (Solanco) who will compete at 285 lbs. for Bloomsburg; PIAA State Medalist Idris White (Father Judge) who predicts to compete at 174 lbs. for Maryland; PIAA State Medalist DJ Hollingshead (Altoona Area) gave a commitment to Bucknell where he predicts to compete at 157/165 lbs.
