Update: Three Father Judge Wrestlers Stabbed in NE Philadelphia

Father Judge senior Tom Bayer was released from the hospital after one day with five (5) superficial stab wounds. 2013 PIAA State Champion and Father Judge senior Joey Galasso was released from the hospital after spending five days for a collapsed lung from four (4) stab wounds. Joey’s cousin Jim Galasso, also a senior at Father Judge, is still being treated at the hospital after suffering eleven (11) stab wounds which caused a collapsed lung and other injuries. Jim has been improving since first being admitted. Please keep these three young men and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
The Pennsylvania Wrestling Community is reacting to news that 2013 PIAA State Champion Joe Galasso of Father Judge, his cousin Jim Galasso, and teammate Tom Bayer were all stabbed during an altercation in Northeast Philadelphia on Friday March 21 at around 11 PM.
Joe Galasso, a senior at Father Judge High School, will be attending Cornell University next year and was a 2014 PIAA Class AAA runner-up this season at 145 lbs.
