It was only six months ago that Pittsburgh Central Catholic senior Perry Hills was competing in the USA vs. PA All-Star wrestling match known as the Dapper Dan Classic. Hills won a PIAA State AAA Championship last March at 195 lbs., a lifetime goal for the talented athlete. But wrestling wasn’t the only sport Hills excelled at.
Now the true freshman at Maryland is leading the Terrapin Football program in the ACC Conference. Hills was an outstanding quarterback for Pittsburgh Central Catholic, earning him a scholarship to play at Maryland. With the departure of last seasons starting quarterback Danny O’Brien and a pre-season injury ended the season of projected starter C.J. Brown, Hills was thrown under center for their season opener. Hills and Maryland are (2-2) after their first four games and the quarterback has accumulated 749 yards and 6 touchdowns.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
