Both Coleman Scott and Keith Gavin have been on many stages in their wrestling careers but none like the mat in the middle of Grand Central Terminal in New York City at the 2013 Rumble on the Rails. The marque event highlighted the strength and unity of the International Community to keep the Sport of Wrestling in the Olympic Games.

In the Iran vs. USA freestyle dual meet Keith Gavin fell to Iran’s Ehsan Lashgari at 84 kg./185 lbs. (1-0, 1-0).  Overall the Iranians were dominant winning an impressive six of seven matches. The lone winner for Team USA was recent Cornell 4x NCAA Division I Champion Kyle Dake at 74 kg./165 lbs.

In the USA vs. Russia dual meet PA’s Coleman Scott returned to New York City almost a year following his dramatic victory over both Reece Humphrey and Shawn Bunch to earn his spot on the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team at 60 kg./132 lbs. Scott went on to win a Olympic Bronze Medal in London. At the 2013 Rumble on the Rails Scott competed for Team USA at 55 kg./125 lbs. and faced Russia’s Artas Sanaa in an exciting bout. Scott used a first period takedown to win the period before dropping the second after Sanaa won the ball draw. In the third and decisive period Scott scored a running double and an exposure as he won the match (1-0, 0-1, 3-0).
