The senior will enter this season with a career record of (120-19) and having earned two PIAA State medals including the 132 lbs. State Championship his junior season.

Smith is a hard-nosed wrestler who, like his teammates, is tough on top and able to put up big points on even the toughest opponent. Smith was a 2012 POWERade runner-up at 132 lbs. falling to 2x State Champion Jason Nolf (Kittanning). As a freshman he qualified for the PIAA State Tournament at 119 lbs. and improved by earning a fifth place medal his sophomore season at 120 lbs. Despite already earning a PIAA State Championship, Smith will be looking for his first career WPIAL/Southwest Regional Championship. In all three seasons he has finished as the runner-up.

Smith will certainly add to an improving program at Bucknell, projected to compete at 141 lbs.
