Jason Nolf and Jordan Oliver Impress at Flo’s Who’s #1
Senior and Penn State recruit Jason Nolf followed up his Super 32 Challenge Championship belt with a decisive victory over Blair Academy’s Joey McKenna (10-5) at 138 lbs. At the 2012 POWERade Tournament McKenna was a Third Place finisher at 126 lbs. McKenna ended the 2013 Season by capturing the National Prep Championship at 132 lbs. for Blair Academy.
In the main event former NCAA National Champions Jordan Oliver and Bubba Jenkins went head-to-head. Wrestling at Lehigh University, Jordan Oliver (Easton Area), did not let down his hometown fans by posting a (7-2) victory over the Virginia Beach Bad Boy. Jenkins is now a MMA fighter who has done fairly well since knocking down David Taylor in the 2011 NCAA Finals.
Several other PA stars took the mats as junior Michael Kemerer defeated Michigan’s Zac Hall (3-1 in OT) in the preliminary bout at 132 lbs. He faced former PA Youth star Freddy Stroker, now of Bettendorf, Iowa, in the Championship of 132 lbs. Stroker proved to much for Kemerer as the fellow junior was victorious (3-1).
Kiski Prep junior Zach Kelly was coming off a Super 32 Challenge runner-up finish but fell to North Dakota’s Ryan Bless, an Oklahoma State recruit, (5-2).
