Pennsylvania’s #1 recruit from the Class of 2016 has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Pletcher choose the 2015 NCAA National Champions over Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Tech.
Pletcher is one of the most recognizable names in the Nation as the rising senior has compiled an outstanding (123-4) career record that includes two PIAA State Championships. Pletcher has also excelled on the National level winning the prestigious Super 32 Challenge twice.
The Greater Latrobe grappler made the announcement via Twitter.

In 2012 Luke was featured as PA Power Wrestling’s #1 Top Incoming Freshman of 2013. In his first two seasons Pletcher dominated opponents claiming a PIAA State Championship at 106 lbs. in 2013 and defeating senior Scott Parker (Pennridge/Lehigh) in the 2014 State Finals in overtime to claim the 120 lbs. title.
As a junior Pletcher advanced into his third PIAA State Finals appearance but was unable to defeat senior A.C. Headlee (Waynesburg Central) for the second straight week. The two battled into ultimate tie-breaker in both the WPIAL and PIAA State finals.
Ohio State proved to be the right fit for Pletcher where he projects at 133 lbs. for the Buckeyes.
