A large group of Keystone State wrestlers have decided where they will be spending the next several years. A total of 11 of the Top 300 Recruits of the Class of 2016 recently committed to NCAA Division I Programs.

Leading the way are in-state schools Clarion and Lock Haven, in addition to Brown, who each picked up a pair of commitments. #26 James Duffy of Smethport placed third in the State as a junior and will compete for Clarion. Joining Duffy is 3x PIAA State Qualifier and 2015 PIAA State Medalist #46 Shae Bloom (Curwensville Area). Malvern Prep twin brothers #40 Nick and #48 Matt Lattanze were big pick-ups for Brown head coach Todd Beckerman. The brothers are each 3x National Prep Medalists.

Lock Haven head coach Scott Moore continued a strong recruiting class with #33 Jared Seigrist (Manheim Central) and #87 Lucas Ortiz (Conestoga Valley) each giving commitments. Seigrist was a PIAA State Medalist last season while Ortiz made his first trip to Hershey his junior season.

Penn State is full of big name recruits but one that has flown under the radar is #126 Luke Gardner (Pottsville Area) who has amassed an impressive (101-22) record in three seasons with the Crimson Tide. Gardner has yet to make a trip to the State Tournament, finishing sixth in the NE Region last season, but has excelled in Freestyle competition his entire career. He could be a sleeper for Cael Sanderson.

Other commitments include #35 Jimmy Saylor (Easton Area) to Army, #86 Dylan Schwartz (Council Rock South) to Binghamton, #92 Felix Belga (Cumberland Valley) to Drexel, and #218 Robert Scherer (Burrell) to Virginia.
