Riley Palmer Makes Return at CV Kick-Off Classic

A lot has changed for Riley Palmer since he dominated the 2014 CV Kick-Off Classic. For one he is no longer a 106 lbs. wrestler and instead moved up five weight-classes to 138 lbs.

Entering the post-season in 2015 Riley was the #1 ranked grappler at 106 lbs. in the State and was poised for a State Championship come March. As a rookie Palmer earned a spot on the podium finishing seventh at 106 lbs. Riley would not get the chance to improve on his finish after missing weight prior to the District 1 Sectional Tournament. The disappointment he felt was a heavy burden to carry.

Fast forward 10 months and Riley is now a stronger, more mature, and smarter wrestler who is making the adjustment to middle-weight competition.
