Pennsylvania's Caitlyn Walker Wins Cadet Pan-American Championship
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – Pennsylvania Women’s Wrestling was represented at the 2017 UWW Cadet Pan-American Championships by rising star Caitlyn Walker (Wyoming Seminary). The Hatboro, PA native competed for Team USA at 40 kg/88 lbs. and went (3-0) claiming the gold medal.
Walker qualified for her second straight Cadet World Team in May 2017 when she won the Women’s Nationals. Caitlyn completed her freshman season at Upper Moreland High School going (10-3) on the year. She and her older sister Amanda, a Fargo Junior National finalist in 2016, will both be attending the newly created Wyoming Seminary Women’s wrestling team. The pilot program will be headed by Wyoming Seminary head coach Scott Green in addition to USA Women’s National Assistant Coach and Pennsylvania Native Erin Tomeo Vandiver.
