State Runner-up Luke Nichter Has High Hopes for Title in 2019
Chambersburg wrestler Luke Nichter isn’t going to surprise any of his fellow competitors. Not after last year’s state tournament run.
Nichter blew through the 170-pound bracket and scored a runner-up finish to Mifflin County hammer Trent Hidlay to claim silver. It also served notice that the Trojans ace would be a force the rest of his high school career.
Now a junior, Nichter is no longer chasing. He is one of the favorites to win gold this season and will get the best from every opponent trying to make a name for himself.
Nichter sat down with PA Power Wrestling’s Jeremy Elliott to discuss the upcoming season, the possibility of facing Susquehanna Twp. state champion Edmond Ruth, and more.
