CD’s Schwartz Heading to Wyoming Seminary

Central Dauphin has been nothing short of dominating over the last five years and with head coach Jeff Sweigard in the Rams’ corner that trend may continue. If the District 3 powerhouse is successful it will be with a different group of individual wrestlers. Sure there are still two wrestlers with the last name of Peppelman in the line-up in addition to one of the State’s top seniors Tyson Dippery, but this year’s Central Dauphin team will be without some familiar faces.

Also absent from the Central Dauphin wrestling team will be senior Dorian Spradlin. As a freshman, Spradlin wrestled for Mount Saint Joseph, a prep school in Maryland, and qualified for the National Prep tournament. In his first season at Central Dauphin he recorded a record of (32-8) and qualified for the South Central Regional Tournament. Last season, as a junior, Spradlin went (28-6) at 182 lbs. and was one win away from qualifying for the PIAA State AAA Tournament. Central Dauphin will have yet another two-year starter to replace in addition to those lost due to graduation. The senior has relocated to Florida.
