18 Pennsylvania Natives Earn Medals at National Preps

The PIAA State Tournament has not even taken place and already Pennsylvania Natives have earned honors on the National level in wrestling. Two seniors, Eric Morris (Wyoming Seminary) from Mechanicsburg, PA and Brooks Black (Blair Academy) from Dover, PA both won National Prep Championships recently in their respective weight-classes. For Brooks Black, a University of Illinois recruit, it was his third straight National Prep Championship. Black will take on a fellow PA wrestler at the Dapper Dan Classic in Pittsburgh, PA as he is the Team USA representative at 285 lbs. Wyoming Seminary senior Eric Morris, a Harvard recruit, entered into his fourth straight National Prep finals as he came away with his second straight Championship title. Morris was a National Prep runner-up in his freshman and sophomore seasons.

In total 18 wrestlers from Pennsylvania earned National Prep medals, 13 of which will return next season.
