Pennsylvania State Dual Team Rankings Updated
The first half of January is over so that means Pennsylvania’s dual team outlook has become slightly more clear. Most teams have competed in dual tournaments or at least several notable dual meets by this point as line-ups are juggled. The latest set of Dual Team Rankings see several new teams enter the Top 25 in both Class AA and AAA.
The top three teams in both Class AA and AAA remain the same but there were many changes in the 5 to 25 range. In Class AAA, Cathedral Prep jumped from #7 to #4 after taking second at the Virginia Duals and earning a win over Canon-Mac. New teams in the Top 25 include Quakertown, Gettysburg, and Norwin in Class AAA.
#10 Quakertown makes their season debut with an undefeated 14-0 record that includes a win over Council Rock South. Also undefeated at 16-0 includes District 3’s Gettysburg who appear for the first time coming in at #18. Norwin earned a win over Franklin Regional in one of the State’s best sections to come in at #22.
In Class AA the Top 10 remains unchanged but there were several shake-ups elsewhere. District 3’s Bermudian Springs jumps five spots to #16 sporting a 15-1 season record with their only defeat coming to Class AAA’s Gettysburg. Undefeated Montoursville enters the rankings for the first time at #17 while District 6 team Bald Eagle Area comes in at #18 in their debut.
