Gulibon to Penn State

Jimmy Gulibon got his college commitment out of the way early to begin his senior season at Derry Area. Jimmy is a three-time State Champion, going for his fourth, PowerADE 3x Champ, and Walsh Ironman Champ. Gulibon is one of the most dominant wrestlers from neutral and is projected to compete at 120/126 lbs. in 2012. It is tough to say where and when Jimmy will fit into the starting line-up for the Nittany Lions, but head coach Cael Sanderson will likely redshirt Gulibon in 2012-13. He will be joining former WPIAL wrestler and friend Nico Megaludis at PSU. The lower weights of Penn State, 125/133 lbs., will be log-jammed with quality talent in the coming years. NCAA All-America Andrew Long has two years of eligibility remaning, Megaludis will look to break in, and Frank Martellotti is looking to rebound from a unexpected true freshmen campaign. Regardless of where and when Jimmy lands in the starting line-up, one thing is certain, the explosive takedown artist will make an impact for Penn State, and help push Sanderson and his squad to Big Ten and NCAA Championships.
