Top 200 PA Recruits of 2014 Class Released
College coaches are going to be busy recruiting the top prospects from the Keystone State during the next 12 months. One of the biggest names in the Nation is that of Chance Marsteller the undefeated 3x PIAA Class AAA State Champion from Kennard Dale High School. Marsteller is considered by many experts to be the Country’s top prospect of any weight class and would be welcomed onto any Division I Program with open arms. The junior has kept quite about his plans for life after high school but Chance has noted he would like to make the decision early in his senior year to avoid any distractions.
Two of the top four wrestlers of the 2014 Class have already given verbal commitments as #2 Solomon Chishko will head to Blacksburg, VA to compete for the Virginia Tech Hokies and head coach Kevin Dresser. 3x PIAA Class AAA State Champion Thomas Haines of Solanco High School is one of the Nation’s top upper-weights and has already given a verbal commitment to Cael Sanderson and the 3x NCAA National Champion Nittany Lions.
With only one defeat in his career junior Jason Nolf is considered a top recruit not only in Pennsylvania but the Nation. Nolf’s lone career defeat came last season in the semi-final round of the State Tournament at the hands of 4x State Champion Ryan Diehl (Trinity). Nolf is a 2x PIAA Class AA State Champion, a 2012 POWERade Champion, and a 2013 FloNationals Runner-up.
Rounding out the Top 5 Recruits of 2014 is PIAA Class AAA State Champion Joe Galasso (Father Judge) who also has a National Prep Medal to his name. Galasso’s only defeat this past season was to FILA Junior World Champion Zain Retherford in overtime at the POWERade Tournament. Galasso has made a name for himself on the National level from his time at both Malvern Prep and District 12’s Father Judge. The junior is an agressive wrestler who is non-stop from neutral.
