42 wrestlers have punched their tickets to the State AAA Individual Tournament next weekend at the Giant Center. The District 3/South Central Regional AAA Tournament is in the books and what a Tournament it was. Super sophomores Chance Marsteller and Thomas Haines remained unbeaten, G. Peppelman vs. Rustin Barrick Part III took place at 152 LBS, and a rematch of last year’s 285 LBS State Finals between Averee Robinson and Dawson Peck proved the big boys can wrestle as well.
Central Dauphin ran away with the Team Championship by score of 157.5 with three Champions (Tyson Dippery 126 LBS, Shyheim Brown 132 LBS, and Garrett Peppelman 152 LBS), two runner-ups (Zach Elvin 106 LBS & Nick Varndell 138 LBS) two 3rd place wrestlers (Austin Rose 145 LBS & Colton Peppelman 160 LBS) and one 4th place wrestler in Dorian Spradlin at 170 LBS. Mechanicsburg was second as a team with 108 points and had one Champion (Josh Thomson 182 LBS), three runner-ups (Rustin Barrick 152 LBS, Joey Krulock 170 LBS, and Bryton Barr 220 LBS) and two fourth place wrestlers (Mitch Ramsey 160 LBS & Luke Weaver 195 LBS).
